The exploration of metal inflation served as a test for the landing chair, informing design choices, fabrication, and metal finishing. Shapes were cut from several different gauges of steel sheets, welded together, and air formed. The resulting shapes, were then welded together to create a test chair. 

 

This was an integral step to the development of the project Eternal Recurrence. The air forming process helped develop a different form language for the mirroring chair of Departure.
